I've never been a nudist "area" per se, but my understanding is that a lot of the so called "nudist resorts" in the US/Canada are trailer parks with old fat swingers. Gross.
I'm obviously uneducated on it, so if someone here has firsthand knowledge, then enlighten and educate me.
*I don't consider the nude beaches of Europe or the nude Island resorts in the South Pacific as "full-time Nudist" areas, either. Those are obviously vacation areas where normal people go and disrobe for a short amount of time.
There is the white trash element but that is what makes itself a spectacle. Plenty of respectable and low key private nude beach stuff that is classy where normal people don't gaze or make a show. People mind their biz and just go to their spit, disrobe, mind their biz and then leave or go for a swim. You don’t hear about it outside of word of mouth to keep animals out. I went to one once and it was very much mind your biz, do what you need to do and don’t be gross or weird.
