Just do like I do, direct your sadness into righteous hate for those that are doing it. Then get to work, figure out what that means to you. And remember, countless people have died for your ability to sit and be sad on the internet. You owe them something, we all do. Beyond that, just try to be grateful for the little things.

Remember Robert E Lee. Offered command of US Army by Lincoln but chose loyalty to his native Virginia because he knew he could trust his neighbors more than a conniving government in DC. He probably knew that he couldn't win the war but chose to fight for his state's independence.
