Once a company has branches and offices outside the country how is it possible to call them a US company anymore?

We run around saying all these medical companies are "US" but how is it possible to say that?

Companies should not be able to operate over state lines, as per the constitution. Only the Federal Government can conduct economic anything cross state lines.
