Why aren't taxes not taken out right when it's created? That would end the moral hazard of tax dodging. You wouldn't have to spend money to stop tax dodgers. The IRS wouldn't need to exist.

Currency is taxed every time it's used. If you think about it, a percentage being taken out every event means the money has a limited life span. Is there a reason for this? Is it really just protection money to the government, is there a mathematical reason I'm missing, or is it something weirder?

It's too keep you in perpetual debt so that you waste your life attempting to rise above your station creating competition with the elite

By funding this criminality you are morally and spiritually complicit in it. Tell your friends!

Trust me, they'd like that. It's the reason there are contract workers and employees, because it's easier to force an employer to withhold taxes than get every employee to. With CBDC purely automated theft will probably become a reality.

As in, why not just print money they need? Taxation allows fine-grained rewards and punishments. They tax things they want to encourage less, tax things they don't like more. You can't do that without a detailed tax system.

Also keep in mind, the value of the CBDC will constantly go down as the criminals constantly create more and more of it, just like they already do.

Income tax is an incredibly wasteful way to collect tax revenue. Every year people need to spend hours, or days, filling out tax forms, collecting receipts, and so on, or they need to spend money to hire someone else to do it. All these man-hours of labor accomplish nothing productive. All the people paid to do the tax returns of others are parasites on society -- they are contributing nothing.

But the government will never give up income tax, unless people stop paying it, and do you know why? Because it represents another way to screw money out of the general population. They are not going to replace it with a sales tax, because they want both sales tax and Income tax going at the same time. That way they can gouge deeper.

My accountant wears a rolex so the IRS agent gets laid off. If everyone had a great accountant this garbage country would run out of ways to steal.

Tax preparation companies (e.g. Intuit and H&R Block) don't want taxation to be simple like in some European countries where their IRS equivalent sends you a prepared return for you to review and sign/dispute.

The same reason people pay protection money to the mafia, so the evil bastards don't fuck with you too much

Taxing income based on percent is a 100% tax. You could literally put all the money in circulation into the government's hands within one single day with this kind of tax. Example -

At 30% income tax you would put $85 in the government's hand if you tried to exchange $100 only 5 times. FIVE times only $15 would be left in circulation.

Now if you're still asking 'Why would they do this tax' or you're glossing over my statement. THAT's why they do this tax. It's too complicated for 99% of the population to hold in their mind at all once.

Why do we pay taxes?

It's about control, not funding government criminals as such. World governments don't need tax money anymore, they create currency to fund their tyranny. Requiring you to pay to calculate your tax is a kickback to corporations that bribe governments officials to steer "business" their way.
