I'd probably make a general tinkerer/Maker/technical creative type sub to cover a lot of different disciplines and interests. Are there any subs like this already outside of the DIY sub? This never took off on Voat but Poal seems more like a community that can make it work so I'd like to give it a go here.

Analog is the best kind of log. Although log log rolls down stairs and over your neighbors dog.

Log is even better than powdered toast, man.

It really is the end all toy/tool. Once you have log there is no going back. Also what kind of electronics projects do you like to do?

It's better than bad, it's GOOD!

Woohoo analog! I like analog electronics repair. That smell of vintage equipment is intoxicating. It's also probably a health hazard but it's intoxicating nonetheless. I subbed to and will check out the amateur radio sub too. I never went Ham but it always interested me. Thanks for the links and info.

That smell is leaded solder fyi. So sweet and tasty.

Good old 60/40 lead tin alloy with rosin core flux. I hate that new RoHS crap solder that doesn't stick well even if you add more flux. I keep spools of the good stuff around to fix the inevitable cracked and cold solder joints that the RoHS stuff causes. There's nothing quite like the smell of lead and rosin in the morning.
