I'd probably make a general tinkerer/Maker/technical creative type sub to cover a lot of different disciplines and interests. Are there any subs like this already outside of the DIY sub? This never took off on Voat but Poal seems more like a community that can make it work so I'd like to give it a go here.

More mechanical minded you say? Well this YouTube channel may interest you. It has over 1700 video animations of different mechanical linkages and mechanisms in motion. I love linkages too so this channel is pure gold to me.

Thanks for pointing out this sub! I prefer fixing things myself over paying for repairs in a lot of cases.
