Neighbors are illegal I believe, and early in the morning he starts his car, autostart installed on an older honda. So it beeps in succession 3 times, two honks. it's cold where I live but I leave the window ajar for airflow.

So I tried to confront him, but he couldn't understand me so I spoke in broken English /spanish to get through to him. Well it continues.

Do I call ice, or is it even worth it since I don't know country of origin etc personal details?

I have a remote start on my car, as do some of my neighbors. If anyone came on my property to bitch about something as small as that, it would be the last time he made that mistake.

Sounds like you're the "nuisance neighbor" in this situation.

I generally find these annoyance threads curious. I definitely agree here, if two horn honks of an auto-start causes someone this much grief, they've probably got lots of other issues.

Since OP is new, mostly assume this is bait info thread or someone who is very young and inexperienced with both conflict and/or reality.

I sometimes visit Reddit just to watch the extremely low IQ crowd perform special Olympics level mental gymnastics.

They sometimes visit us and attempt to fit in, with usually comical outcome.

Well, it's an apartment and not private property, it's early in the morning so before 7 a.m. 50db(a) or above is considered loud and a horn is above 50 db(a). I also have remote start, two quick honks and she is on. It is subjectively large, and small from outside perspective.

First stop complaint to apartment management didn't work? What did they say? If they say it is okay then you leave the neighbor alone.

With My vehicle i have to click the lock button twice(two honks) to allow my auto start.

Sleep with Ear plugs .... I do. Is Bliss/ mutes car noise, dogs, bangs and creaks etc ... yet can still hear my alarm.

Neighbors like you are why we can't have man to man conversations and just call the police on you right off. I don't have time to waste with an overly aggressive ape in his twenties with anger management issues. I'll let the people paid to handle you types deal with that.

If you're white you have to be some kind of trailer park wigger trash with 26 cars in the driveway/yard and incapable of letting your neighbors live in peace and quiet. You can always accurately judge the class of a person by how much noise they make. It's an inverse relationship.

Haha wow you're not even close to guessing my situation, but whatever. I live in a small town and we occasionally get shitty neighbors. Sometimes they're noisy or rowdy, sometimes they have a loud car or a barking dog, it's all relatively small, everyday stuff. I have a job and a life so I don't have time to get my panties in a bunch about petty shit like that. The few times there's been an actual issue, we handled it ourselves and it eventually got worked out.

People who call the cops over trivial interpersonal issues are bitch made, entitled, and deserve no respect. Boomers, Karen's, and manlets are the type to do this.

Sounds like you would be happiest in a retirement home.

years ago I lived in an apt. hundreds of apts in complex.

A guy had his old motorcycle parked right outside my bedroom window. every morning at 6 am he would start it. let it idle for two minutes. then ride it 200 ft to a newspaper machine turn around and park it in the same spot.

I left a note on the bike that said he woke me up evert day and that if it happened again that I would destroy his bike.

he must have pushed the bike away that morning and I found it parked 1/8 mile away! fucking guy wasnt parking near his apt. probably didnt want to wake up his old lady

I don't want to threaten harassment or violence, esp in the area I am in. Very liberal, I can feel the hellfire raining down. It's not overly loud like a motorcycle, it's just some mfer getting to work in cold weather in a hard industry(construction) Is what I believe

Sounds like you live in a big city or close suburb. Frankly, this kind of thing is why I traded city life for deer, turkeys, and chipmunks. I understand your situation may dictate you don't move far, but understand city life has become very unpleasant due to compromised mayors and city officials. You now live in a third world place.

You realize the neighbors are a protected class, no official will do anything about it. If you complain, they will see you as a problem. If you persist, soon it won't be only the neighbors being a pain in your ass.

(Ps) these neighbors only survive in an urban environment. You won't see many too far out of the city. I used to hate high taxes until I realized a benefit of high property taxes: it makes living there difficult for the very people you're describing.

You bring up a good point. How do they manage to live in big cities in Commiefornia? Rents are high, taxes are high, things are expensive and so 9n.

While I'm tempted to tell you to call the cops or feds, neither will do anything. On top of that, just how much of a nuisance is it? Is it worse than any other 'normal' noise you'd hear in the suburbs? (I'm assuming you live in the 'burbs because no one I know who lives in a cit would risk it.)

I should lighten up, just a nuisance. It's just a small city in an apt complex, it wakes me or my wife up regularly. I work nights, she works early so does not bother her much. And they have two vehicles both with the same aftermarket honking system. I can deal with less sleep until I can afford a housing death grip.

Some areas have laws against vehicles running unattended, regardless of remote start. Look into that.

I setup a fan in my bedroom so any random noises that happen in the neighborhood get muffled out. I hear the fan running over everything else and I sleep like a baby.

I don't think we have this kind of auto start in Europe.

So the car's horn (the one you use in traffic) goes off 3 times or is it just a beep like when you lock your car?

Not honks, not beeps.aftermarket product so the beeps are short 2 beep/honk in a succession of three. Beeps beeps, beeps beeps, beep beep. 2 cars that they start in the morning, so a total of 12 beeps to start the cars. Then they lock them with remote for more beeps. It's not everymorning that they start both so I would say 2 out of five days it's 24, 3 out of five twelve. That's not counting when they lock their car with 4-10 remote clicks(one beep) at night

Yeah, it's annoying, but living close to other people or subhumans is also annoying.

There is no point creating a conflict with you first door neighbor, you don't shit where you sleep. I would advise you get a bluetooth speaker and play some white noise through the night so it will block out any noise from outside. This is what I started to do after a construction begun in my neighborhood, and the begin with work sometimes as early as 4AM.

Other than that start looking to move out somewhere more peaceful where you will actually have a piece of land between you and the neighbors.

Living on top of each other is not natural for White people, we are used to have our own territory for us and our family. If you look at the behavior of shitskins and nigger throughout history, living on top of each other is completely natural to them.
