It seems pretty clear to me that we're fucking up the ecosystem at a freakish pace. I've hunted and fished all my life and I've watched beautiful, wild-ish places turn into suburbs. That's what I think we've lost most of. Not massive wild lands, but the wild-ish places that as a kid, I could get lost in. Places that could still manage to hold deer, bear, moose, etc, but are now subdivided and lawn.
I feel like the whole climate-change thing is a distraction while they loot the actual ecosystem. What's the fucking point of worrying about climate change in a hundred years when all the nice places that you could go to clear your head are gone?
I live in one of the few places where there is still some big wilderness, and loads of pockets of smaller wilderness. All the fuckers are moving here though, and subdivisions are doing the same shit.
Whenever people talk about climate change, I tell them to worry about things that are actually real. There's plenty of those things. Fuck off we're full.
