I walked down the road and came to a place where the Buddha sat beside the road. I said "Buddha, why do you sit here going no where when the great journey still lies ahead?" He said "I grew weary making my way past those who refuse to progress so now I sit and rest with patience. It grows late, come and sit by the fire with me and wait." I responded "those who sit and watch the world go by make no progress themselves. Come let us go together and I will clear the path for us both." The Buddha smiled and said "No... but I thank you for the kindness. I will sit here and wait some more. ...But it's dangerous to go alone. Take this." and handed me his torch.
