If you mean reproductively it's a little broader than that. Nothing wrong with marrying young as long as the man and (young) woman are mentally healthy.
Reproduction is the main, and arguably only real point of marriage. If your opinions about it are from a different perspective you lost the plot.
And if you will excuse the presumption, people who have been confused into thinking marriage is about a guy making a claim on a girl generally have been convinced of a few other self contradictary ideas.
Namely that your heart is in the right place and that your politics originate from love and carring. You polotics origniate from hedonism and have been framed and taught to you by propagandists who want to shape the world so that sex is as rampant and easy to come by as possible. No where is that more apparent than the attack on abstinence.
If you feel young girls should not get married, but don't feel as strongly that they should not have sex before marriage then your politics are not kind, or in the best interest of the girl.
