He's good, but a bit boring. I was watching him for a while, and realized I wasn't learning much as I zone out and do other stuff during his videos. For historical game analysis, he's great. I like watching Eric Rosen, because he's great at explaining the ideas behind his moves.

I thought chess was super complicated for years cause I would try to learn every once in a while but I always drunk when I tried to learn it. Turns out it’s pretty easy to grasp if you’re sober

For playing the game, I prefer lichess.org . Free and open source, easy to use, massive userbase so matchmaking is quick. Chess.com is also a strong second. From what I understand, The ELO evaluation on lichess tends to be more forgiving than on chess.com .

For analysis and saved studies, I like lichess better, but again, not a big difference, it's a matter of preference.

A chess teacher once told me to spend 80% of time learning opening chess moves and strategies, and 20% playing full games. His theory was playing games repeatedly using bad strategy was a waste of time, and chess students should more spend time memorizing and practicing strategies.

here's the thing you want versus computer... their cheat software isn't intelligent enough to detect if you're cloning all an ais moves... just simply set up a different board and mirror all your opponents moves against an ai. clone the ai's moves back into the game... the ai always wins these days. it's a way to troll certain other users doing the same on that chess site... like lets see who is using the best engine... just do that in btw real games. watching ai versus a different ai really unlocks deeper strategies thru observation... like deep sequence strategies for different situations that just play out.

How would a beginner or even an intermediate understand the strategy behind the AI moves? AI moves that would outsmart the best GMs?
