You've listed 12 entirely different degrees paths, which while each under the umbrella of CS are specific, unique and near wholly divergent after Sophomore year.
Ya that's what I'm saying. You could go really deep into any of these from a scientific perspective. Really pushing cutting edge 'tech'. Being really far into any one of those could get you deep back room jobs at dod jobs, intel / amd, or intelligence agencies etc.
My personal favorites are High Performance Computing, Natural Language Processing and probably 'hacking'. Ie looking the latest bug reports for different libraries and making exploits.
Not sure if anyone has any other suggestions for deep CS fields. Computer Vision?
Cloud architecture, API security, IoT and robotics, If I could do it all again I would do electrical engineering over IT.
What type of job would you be looking for with EE? My bachelors is half EE. I could go that route if I wanted to.
Automation, IoT, and OT security.
Reverse-engineering and re-implementation is pretty cool and requires a lot of skill and creativity. You can help old systems live forever in simulators.
