So they generally map polar coordinates to a flat plane (distorting it) and hope no one notices, or they dodge the question of a map altogether. Of course your question as to why a polar coordinate is the center of the map is always dodged too. Never mind, they are never willing to locate the edge and document the massive ice walls which surround the plane.
