You've never proven it to yourself- you were told it, or read it, or saw it in a movie. Same as Santa Claus or Darth Vader. Prove it logically to yourself in the real world if you want to bash flat earthers... but if you do prove it to yourself, you might realize there's value in forcing people to examine how they know what they "know."
