That would be real neat.

Anticlutch, lay off the killer weed my friend, it does you no favors.

Although if he was right, we could toss politicians off the edge...

Are you denying their identity of the earth?

Of course they're correct, you denyer! You can't question anyone's proposition! That's heresy!

You can see the science yourself. Go to any beach and look out as far as you can see. The ocean ends at the edge. The edge is flat.

Crazy.

Next thing you people will try and say is the earth circles the sun. Come on man!

the earth circles the sun

The earth ellipses the sun.

and it is a bumpy oblate spheriod

They have no coherent model of the real world. If (((flat earthers))) were "correct", the world would be an incomprehensible nightmare.

Okay, that much would not change, but which flat earth map are we going with?

[–] 0 pt

Afaik, no such map even exists.

Not sure if the round one by Gleason that I found on amazon is what people believe in. My first question would be why is our North Pole at the center of the map, and the South Pole the perimeter/circumference of it? How did they come to that conclusion?

[–] 2 pts

That's precisely the issue. No FE map can be created without horribly distorting confirmable measurements. So they generally map polar coordinates to a flat plane (distorting it) and hope no one notices, or they dodge the question of a map altogether. Either case they confirm they've never actually thought about it or are knowingly pushing propaganda.

Of course your question as to why a polar coordinate is the center of the map is always dodged too. Never mind, they are never willing to locate the edge and document the massive ice walls which surround the plane.

No

Shut up Hippy.

If flat earth was real it would be boring. Like those people that say god did it Every time science hasn’t come up with an answer yet. I’m not saying there’s not a god but there’s more mystery that “god did it” I look at the deep space Hubble photo and my aunt says gods work is beautiful. If god made it then it is incredibly uninteresting. If god made it, the kind of god you mean, then it’s all pointless.

And an expedition of rock climbers swang under and found the back side imprinted with a giant Lincoln Memorial.

I would definitely plan a trip across the ice circle

If they're correct, then we're living in a simulation. No real universe would be so contrived. What they describe is a terrarium made by low IQ Gods that arent even TRYING to hide the fact that the world is just a game level. Meanwhile, the description of the physics of the spherical earth would be diabolically genius compared to those goofy gods.

[–] 0 pt

Physics is as it is because it is as lazy and stupid as it can possibly be, and still it would outdo the machinations of every god.

It would be interesting how things would go moving forward, knowing we are all sitting on some fucker's coffee table. But I have been waiting for years for them to admit the moon landings were faked.

Arguing in favor of F.E. can help others logic skills...

How do you know the earth is round?

"Lulz faggot, we all know the earth is round."

Not we... How do you know it is round... You've never proven it to yourself- you were told it, or read it, or saw it in a movie. Same as Santa Claus or Darth Vader.

Prove it logically to yourself in the real world if you want to bash flat earthers... but if you do prove it to yourself, you might realize there's value in forcing people to examine how they know what they "know."
