I have a bit of Dr. Bronners put back. I never thought about brushing my teeth with it though.

A Jewish company.

Oh fuck, here we go

Seriously. It caught me by surprise when it was pointed out to me. I use the toothpaste until somebody here mentioned it. I looked it up to confirm:

The Dr. Bronner’s story Jewish-German soapmaking roots—Emanuel Bronner’s peace plan for uniting Spaceship Earth—iconic soap of the countercultural 60s—leaders of the organic and fair trade movement.

That shit is insanely expensive compared to the cost of making it. One bottle of organic extra virgin olive oil and one jar of organic coconut oil from Costco costs about $30. 5 lbs. of potassium hydroxide sets me back another $10. I can use that to make about 8 gallons of soap. Each batch of 1.5 gallons lasts me about a year, and I use it for dishes, handwashing, dishwashing, showering, and toothbrushing for a family of 4.

How do you make it?? Using just those ingredients.

You have to get the proportions right, but all you do is mix everything together and cook it in a crock pot for a few hours. That's pretty much it.
