Taxation isn't a funding mechanism. It's a dominance and control mechanism. They print fucking money. They can't even pay the payments on the amount they print with the taxes they collect.

Wish I could up vote this several times. Correct. Taxation is only a control mechanism. They can counterfeit currency as much as they need. Taxpayers aren't necessary. I take that back, we're needed only for the illusion. We are being robbed every day by these (((criminals))).

It's the older more insipid version of the mask mandates. Jew pulls a gun on you takes 75% of the money out of your wallet and lights it on fire in front of your face. Pulls out a machine prints two or three times as much back out, again right in front of your face, puts it in his pocket. Exclaims eat shit dumb goy.

The government has authorized a private company - the Federal Reserve Bank (cute name, but it’s not an actual government entity) - to print money at will.

So why do we still need taxes? Can’t they just print more and use that? Sure, but then how would they control us? It’s a way to keep the population under control. It’s a modern feudal enterprise.

The US Dollar has been completely debased since the FRB came in 1913 but the US still has the most stable global currency, which is why it remains the world reserve currency (for now).

China, Russia, India and a few others are working on changing that soon - which is to say that the jews are going to change the world reserve currency as soon as it is convenient and they have safely moved most their financial interests out of the US

I always assumed it was easier to cut down on taxes, but if you have people pay taxes and give them back COVID bucks, it makes them dependent on you giving them those bucks. Part of me wonders if this is a ploy to get people mad at the government and enact (((change)))

Your question frames their purpose as just making it more costly to live. The ideal reason is to cover the costs of services that are hard to limit to only payees, or ones whose cost benefit from economy of scale. The actual reason is to milk people for as much as they'll put up with, and exert control over people's actions via incentives (less tax if you do this or avoid that) and punishments (more tax if you do this or don't do that). A hidden tax is money printing, but this is unfocused because it takes the most money from people who are saving dollars, either in banks or under the mattress, or things whose prices can't keep up with the devaluation of money.

In a just world I would happily pay taxes. Fire department? Roads? Public education? Yea that’s nice. Funding Israel’s terrorism? Nah. I’m good on that. Filling some traitors pockets? Nah I’m good.
