I’f you haven’t been scanned, then how could you know if you have lesions or not? In any case, laying off (if you’re drinking more than 1-2/day on average) will only prolong your life. Some people have to quit entirely because they aren’t able to only have one or two. For those folks, it’s all or nothing. I was one of them. But after having layed off for so long, it was then easy to have reasonable limits when I do choose to drink. But that was even risky. I could have been a person who can’t control my intake and so coming back off the wagon could have put me right back where I was. There was only one way to find out and I took the chance. I landed in the right side of the line, but risking it was stupid on my part.
