Everything has gone up in price and down in qty or quality. My Thanksgiving pumpkin pie didn't set this year. When I compared the canned pumpkin to an older one in my stash I noticed water was the first ingredient on the new can, but fourth on the stashed can.

The use by date on dairy products is not honest, the volume contained in boxes is changed but not advertised, the ammt of water/air in products is increasing without notice.

Honestly, I'd rather just pay the higher price for products that taste good.

I hate that shit. Id rather pay more too.

No but if you can stomach Walmart products, you can consistently buy the large egg rack of 18, you're paying over 6 bucks whereas if you buy the extra large eggs rack of 18 you're paying around $5.30.

My local walmarts are constantly sold out of things. Maybe 1/4 of the time I visit they have eggs AND milk. This week they were out of both.

I've seen many recent price increases.

What's really gone up in price is beer. I remember when Bud Light was $5.99 for six bottles. Now it's $9.99. In fact most beers lowest prices are 8.99 or higher. Christmas Ale is $13.99 for six bottles this year.

Brewing isn't a difficult hobby to pick up and can wind up paying for itself.

It can be a fun hobby if you have the time. Because it still takes 3-4 hours of labor per a typical 5 gallon batch. So if you value your labor at $15/hour, you're losing once you factor in the cost of raw materials and energy to brew.

Also, having gallons of beer constantly available tends to lead to alcoholism.

At 8.99-9.99 for dumbestics with craft being 9.99-10.99, why drink something that's owned by an international corp, inbev, over something produced locally?

Domestic beers are designed to be the least offensive to the most people's tastes. They're made to be drank extremely cold and not have strong flavors.

I never had coffee, didn't need it.

Me neither, it's for the Misses

Don't do it. I work with a boomer who just started. There he is now, every single day, with his cup o' joe. And he wants to talk about it all the time because it's new to him.

I stopped drinking energy drinks.

Now I just workout consistently and try to go to bed on time. I feel the same. Just as focused without the caffeine.

See if you can work habits like stimulant addiction out of your life. Save money. Live healthier. It's a hard habit to break, yes. And the first 2 weeks will be hell. But you will feel a ton better for it.
