I like the idea but the word "artisanal" just makes it sound gay. If that term wasn't used on the building as you drove into the aisle to fuel up I'd support it.

Haha yeah I figured. I see that word everywhere when I'm in the city. Everything is artisanal now; pasta, apples, candles, soap, list goes on.
I like your idea though. I enjoy fueling up at the station for nostalgia and the smell of diesel and gasoline. If they weren't toxic I'd drink it. That would be an amazing artisanal beverage:
HIGH OCTANE: GASOLINE ENERGY DRINK
made with the smell and taste of gasoline without the poisoning, seizures, heart attacks and paralysis
Oh! and I forgot, the gas stations would be either self-service or full-service (oil check, windshield wash).
