My almost all-white town has a hispanic section that has more Guatemalans than Mexicans. You can tell by the Guat flags on their rear view mirrors. On Guat independence day (Sep 15) they drive around for hours waving Guat flags and honking their horns like stupid children, clogging up the streets and being a huge nuisance.

Because they are citizens of Guatemala, not US. Lots of them milk the system here and move back to Guatemala, buy a house and live comfortably there when they are old. It's like Americans and Euros who go to work in Saudi Arabia for a few years to make money and live in an American enclave. Except they have a contract, do skilled work and go home as soon as their contract is completed.

Almost every place I have lived has had hispanics doing most of the road work, it has been this way for at least 20 years. When I moved to this region about 5 years ago I was surprised to find that road crews were entirely or almost entirely White. Just this last year though the hispanics have taken over. Other trades too, this was a place with lots of Whites in construction, etc... but now I see the hispanics. That isn't to say that this place was a Whitopia, lots of non-Whites, but they didn't dominate any industry here like they tend to do elsewhere.
