Medical DNC is not abortion. DNC maybe required due to miscarriage or other cervical issues. If, during the course of pregnancy the fetus jeopardizes the life of the mother, I am in full agreement to abort the fetus in order to save the life of the mother. Nearly all abortions are elective, only a few are necessary and life saving.
Semantics aside, the nurse attempting to save her life was head in hands crying when she went blue.
SHE told me the hospital wouldn't authorize an abortion. It may have required a DNC to address the hemorrhaging, but the hospital considered DNC to be abortion.
