There is ONE course of action left that almost no one talks about anymore but was another "conspiracy theory" about 12 years ago and that is the breakup of the U.S. with States finally saying Fuck you Blue and going their own way. I even remember a map that had the new layout of blocked states that would trade together etc. The only one I can remember is Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas as one block. THAT could work and the Blue states could be starved either into submission or extinction because they produce NOTHING.

Peaceful protests are publicity stunts to convince people that preformed ideas are popular. "WE'RE MARCHING FOR X!!!" "We agree, we will give you X" missing is the scene where money is pumped in to astroturf an insane proposition
There is value in peaceful protests though, it can wake people up. Not people that see the news but a mass movement that connects with common folk in a peaceful way can open up a lot of eyes, and any minds swayed will be worth it. But for real change its simple, whoever exercises more power will dictate what happens.
Yet talk to some of the Zombie hordes here who, every time there is one of these useless exercises in futility think its a big habbening.
