Anyone know of free money programs I can push a tradesman buddy toward so he doesn’t starve? After childcare, he barely has enough to feed himself with. Food bank. Start there.

Local DHHS. Get a caseworker.

Custody %? Pursue child support? US counties have child support divisions that will pursue for free.

Get child care subsidies. childcare.gov iirc.

Start attending local church. There is lots of help to be had, there.

Probably won't get anything from the mother if she's a big enough POS that the courts awarded HIM custody.

Depending on the state, there is likely free or greatly reduced child health insurance programs available.

Are his parents nearby and stable? Maybe they can watch the kids while he's at work. At least a few days a week till he figures something else out.

  1. Pick up the food yourself, then tell him about how good of a couponer you are and you got all this extra food he has to take.
