I never understood the concept of Texas conservatism. They tried seceding once 200 years ago, and they will simply not STFU about it since then. Meanwhile some of the states in question weren't even states before Texas joined (Montana and South Dakota joined in 1889, Texas in 1845) 50 years prior! How can you even claim to be le based state, when some of the states next to you took 50 more years to join the damn union?!
