Does anyone remember what the problem was with archive.is a couple months ago? I seem to remember the site owners themselves warning us not to use it and instead suggesting archive.[another two leter domain]. What happened there?

archive.ph or .is was supposedly compromised, can't remember exactly.

Just use https://archive.today, it will redirect you to the right one.

Oh yeah. It happens if you don't use the ssl version of the website (https://)

You should install "https everywhere" browser extension.

always and duckduckgo ext also so you can right click something and chose search with duckduckgo and it'll search in a new tab.

The only info I could ever find on it that sort of explained what was happening was from this archive.today

I don't really understand what the issue was, except that the saved pages were never in any danger of being lost.
