The TV is for the customers not the bartender or manager. You should leave the TV on for people that just want to have a beer after work and unwind. Kind of lame to mute because of your own self interest, now if it's cnn then smash the fucking tv but if it's something else turn the volume on since having the TV is a service the owner put in there to give customers an option of being a social butterfly or just drone out with a drink and forget life for a while.

Nobody wants to listen to that shit. There's nothing on except baseball and the local team sucks to the point where it's not even fun to watch the games. I put on some musics instead and keep the tvs on mute.
