IMHO the solution to slavery is to kill all slaves, not to free them, because, being slaves, they'll re-create their own form of slavery. My point of contention to the hard-times-good-men thesis is, that I think, that a notable portion of the white populace has been bred into complacent cattle whose sole biological niche is being human cattle, which of course is the substrate on which civilization grows. So they are unable to change.

Hence, if the hard-times-create-good-people thesis works at all, it works by creating mass-casualties that predominantly hit those, that rely upon the system. And that's not just some cultural change, but large-scale destruction.

Another thing this thesis ignores is, that most people are conservatives in so far that they are trying to maintain the conditions under which they've grown up. However, with public schools and organized brainwashing of children having been a thing since after WW2 (they attempted to change the educational system to reduce militarism and educate enlightened voters, but of course only managed to give society a heavy leftward spin) you have to have conditions awful enough to overcome this conservative bias, that has been their moral compass and integral part of their identity since childhood. Well, and when you consider, how much people resist to overcome their core-beliefs even when they're wrong, IMHO it would pretty much require something on the scale of a fully-fledged nuclear war to snap people out of this.

Well, and if the universe manages to bring about such large-scale destruction, most people might still not snap out of it, but rather choose from a multitude of religious, political and other wrong paths that will lead them nowhere. With people now being unable to see what is happening and what has to be done about it, even though they're having all the time in the world and the answer is right in front of their faces, there's absolutely no reason to assume, that people start making better choices when their level of stress increases. Which is another argument for mass-casualties being the only arc of redemption.

So many people are sheep just following what they hear and trying to fit in. They believe in the latest trends even if they completely and directly contradict other opinions they still hold (or discarded at a whim) that they were spoon fed by media. People went from disliking homosexuals and trannies to liking them because trends changed.

I might be wrong, because I don't seem to take into account that people also tend to conservative and don't like to change their minds, but I think it could be possible to reprogram the sheep. If a sheep starts to feel that their views are seen as unacceptable minority views then I think a lot of them would be tempted to switch.

Whether enough non-sheep, the true actors, will awaken and take action (take over government and/or media) before a mass-casualties situation I don't know. Time will tell I guess.

Weimar to Third Reich happened pretty quickly though?

With people now being unable to see what is happening and what has to be done about it, even though they're having all the time in the world and the answer is right in front of their faces, there's absolutely no reason to assume, that people start making better choices when their level of stress increases.

It is disappointing that people are so slow, but I've seen people get red-pilled quickly when they have been personally affected so that their quality of their life went down (such as inability to sleep because nigger music or niggers constantly roaming around and screaming in the night).

Which is another argument for mass-casualties being the only arc of redemption.

Do you see any other way?
