I've observed what OP is talking about. the contrails need condensation nuclei to form. The amount of solid material coming out of a normal jet engine does not produce enough particles to spread out over the entire viewable sky. I've sat and watched it. The only way to explain what's happening is that they are releasing large amounts of incredibly tiny particles conducive to cloud formation. Explain the magical multiplication of simple engine exhaust into an entire sky of particulates.
Because that's horseshit. You've never seen a contrail expand to cover the ENTIRE sky. You haven't, that's just horseshit. I'll bet you have seen a car accelerating on a cold morning and white "smoke" just spewing from the tailpipe though. Do you think that's some government operative poisoning the neighborhood? Well, it isn't.
They dissipate into huge hazy masses that cover the sky. Yes. Blocking sunlight.
