I'm working on one right now and my research comes up with this vague answer.. Salaries should be reasonable. With that said, transparency is extremely important to your success. You need to build and maintain a high level of trust with your donors. Nothing will kill your non-profit faster than when your donors see (their) money being allocated inappropriately.
