I heard there is also a "modernized layman / english version of the bible". Do you if this is true and it's good to also have? You might say, it's not the original translation therefor it's 'fake / untrue'. Ya but if I can't understand the Robin Hoodish, Robin Hoodish, Robin Hoodish version of english in the bible then I ain't getting the 'right translation' there either.

King James Version can be difficult for beginners, but if you put the effort in , one day you'll be struck by how beautiful the language is.

Then why not translate a more complete body of manuscripts into olde Engrish?

I personally find the language to be a barrier. I'm trying to connect with the Creator, not consult a dictionary every five words.

And then there's the incomplete manuscript, and the outright mistranslated words/phrases.
