I heard there is also a "modernized layman / english version of the bible". Do you if this is true and it's good to also have? You might say, it's not the original translation therefor it's 'fake / untrue'. Ya but if I can't understand the Robin Hoodish, Robin Hoodish, Robin Hoodish version of english in the bible then I ain't getting the 'right translation' there either.

...you're on a slippery slope. it's pretty simple. the Bible is the word of god, guided by his hand.

And yet again, for a third time I ask you, which one? Leaving out the fact that the Catholic bible has three books that the Protestant one lacks. Are you going to endorse and reference a "Bible" that knowingly and willfully leaves out some of the, "word of god, guided by his hand."

Which one? You can't say, can you?
