If you don't have HVAC, a cool, cheap filtration system can be fabricated from 4 - 20" paper filters and a 20" box fan plus some duct tape.

Take the fan out of it's box. Cut out a 20" square from the side of the box. This will be the base of your filtration system. Next, tape one 20" edge of a filter panel to the outside edge of the base. Repeat 3 more times with the remaining edges and filters creating a "box". Tape the edges of the filters together to form air tight corners. Lastly, tape the 20" box fan to the top of the 4 filter edges forming an enclosed cube. Make sure the fan direction is sucking air out of the cube and blowing it towards the ceiling. You now have a powerful standalone 360° filtration unit.

You can use hepafilter panels, charcoal assisted panels or the cheapest paper fiber filters as long as they are 20" on one side and have cardboard frames. A box fan is about $20, filters vary from $4 each and up. This cube will cost under $40 using cheap filter panels.

2" thick filters are a must too. I run this exact setup at my jobsites

I forgot to mention another important point that the older data is corrupted by "death with covid" numbers combined with "death by covid" numbers using those unreliable covid tests. Don't trust the data. The common cold would cause a positive test result. Remember the African leader who tested a goat, a papaya, other nonhuman things and got positive test results?

If you don't have the space, you can also just tape a 20x20 single filter to the back of a box fan and run it on low. I've been doing this for years. It works.

First off i'm sorry god made you a sensitive homo. Secondly you said 'my room'. so you're not talking about the type of central air hepa filter a grown adult with allergies would use to escape his mother. I have a house, a garage. You have a room. that's terribly depressing.

You can vacuum, you lazy nigger.

Vacuum

wood floors

No thanks. I'd rather spend the money on a filter for the room than a cleaner specifically fro wood floors.

Honestly get a flow hood duct it to a charcoal filter and vent it back it room will remove dust and clean the air then circulate it back in and it will completely remove smells

No one actually answered your question. This one does 5 air changes in an hour in an approximately 500 square foot space. It works. Period.

idk, but I hear house plants help lower dust levels.

I got Medify MA-50 a few months ago after careful research, and it works great. My house used to be super dusty, now there's none. The air coming out of it smells amazing.

I'll look into it, thanks. How long are the filters rated for? How much cost am I looking at each year in filter replacement?

Keep in mind that the more clogged a filter gets the better it works. The only drawback is lower airflow.

The manual says 2500 hours for the filter, which it looks like it costs $70.

Yeah just found that or 3-4 months. So I'd likely push 6-8 months because I don't need medical clean and it's really just for the dust.

I gotchu man

Use an electrostatic precipitator filter on your HVAC inlet: https://aireman.com/

It is powered with a 12v wall wart adapter. Wipe down every 3 months and replace the fiberglass

I want a portable one for when I buy my new house. My current office is about 12'x12'.

By “office”, you mean cell?

  1. Get a roomba. Most of that shit settles on the floor. Vacuuming daily is going to do more. Get an older model with the brushes for wood floors.
  2. Get an air filter and vacuum the filters monthly. They last years that way.
