I don't want to see Poal go down the road of becoming a purely political platform, but it's inevitable that political discussions will happen.

I'd describe myself generally as a libertarian. However, I believe states and communities have the right to choose what they don't want as well, as long as the populace supports it. For example if the majority of people in Alabama don't want abortion to be legal, that's fine, it's their choice.

In terms of race, anti-white racism is obviously a growing danger from the progressive left, but my entire worldview is not defined by race. I don't have anything against someone just because they're a different race.

I don't like 3rd-wave feminism.

What are your political views?

Strict Constitutionalist. I would be ecstatic if we went back to the original intent of the Interstate Commerce Clause and got rid of welfare (I include subsidies) and most alphabet agencies go away.

The founders really were genius how they setup our government. Maybe they failed us in some respect by not being specific enough in their language. Although hard to hold them to fault, how could they foresee all the idiocy we have today?

I'm a Libertarian / Constitutionalist as well. The country would be much better off if State's rights were better respected.

If the South would have been allowed to secede, I wonder what that country would look like today, or what affect the Confederate States would have had on the progression of the Union. Both countries could perhaps have more respect for the individual as a result.

Welfare is a plague. The "New Deal" and the "Great Society" are the causes of many of our current problems.

We really need to do a poalcast on politics one of these days.

I'll make sure to remember about it the day after it happens, as always.

I am a firm supporter of free beer.

All politicians are crooks, so for me voting is always a choice between the lesser of two evils. Other than that, I'm a firm believer in the constitution.

Fiscally conservative, Socially Liberal (by 80's standards).

I used to evaluate every political candidate. Mark up what issues were important to me & rate the contenders. I was voting well over 95% Democrat until the last 4 years. Now that the Democrats have officially lost their minds, I am voting 100% Republican. I will consider 3rd parties. But I will not go back to the Democrats until they fix their mental illness.

When I'm asked that in the real world (is it still referred to as "meat space?) I tend to have to simplify things. Individual liberty and responsibility are core principles, as are free association and expression.

My view on governments is that they are really only good at punishing transgressions, not creating opportunities. Strictly limited, they can serve the people well.

There are universal truths and there are opinions.

I moved to California believing I was middle of the road slightly Democrat voter. I left California a staunch conservative hating on commie bastards
