It's easy as pie, simply miss a mtge payment and the bank is in the position to re-possess 'your' house. At least as a renter the landlord has to go through a process that can take months to have a renter removed for not paying rent or some other breach of their rental agreement. And I've heard that in some places landlords are no longer even able to do that.
