I have 3. Working as a mechanic, I have mechanix m-pact 2's for when I have to use air hammers and swing heavy motherfucking hammers. I also have a pair that are winterized for when I have to work outside. And the last pair are cut resistant heat resistant fabrication gloves for when I need to do grinding or welding.
What kind of hammers?
I favor 8lb mini sledges and and a 12lb sledge. Rusty parts are frequent around the north.
Damn, you must have abs of steel. Or at least one hell of a back. I bought a 10 lb maul for my father's house to chop wood with. I can only imagine if I use that thing everyday for 6 months I'll either amazingly muscular my upper back would be or completely broken my spine would be. LOL
