Is there a factual and dispassionate accounting of WW1 and/or WW2 that would be good to teach younger students?

I'm looking for facts without "oy vey the holocaust" or too much "1488 for life".

Edit: mostly interested in books or textbooks.

Ugh. I was hoping some 1950s accounts would be largely lacking in the jewish narrative.
