I ran an ultra 200 miler and crashed for basically 30 hours after. You're psyched up the day before. The race itself is like a two and half day event. You do stop to rest as you like but you don't really sleep. Then you celebrate hard after. Leads to basically being awake for several days straight most of it dpent running.
When i did crash I woke up thinking it couldn't be the time it was because not enough time had passed. It had - it was 24 his later. I was up for a while but decided to lay down and relax and fell asleep for like another six hours.
When I was 22 I had these really lucid dreams, the longest I think I slept with 16 hours due to being inside one of those dreams. My mother actually slept more or less for 3 weeks straight recently. She has advanced dementia so she wasn't sober if you will. It was a mess though she pissed and shit herself in one of her sleeps.
I'm fairly certain I've slept over 24hrs before when I was ill.
About 15 hours.
I did about 14 hours straight once. I worked all day on a demanding physical labor job, came home, lay on my back on my bed, and didn't wake up until the next day. I didn't even roll over the whole time. It was weird.
whenever i go to bed and it gets light on weekends
You'd be in for real long sleep in Northern Alaska, in December.
Not sure if it counts but in my late teens I stayed awake on ecstasy for six days. Then I slept for 18 hours, got up to pee, and went back to sleep for another 20 hours
A friend bought 50 pills to resell but lived with his parents so he left them at our place. Four roommates, we just started throwing a 20 in a jar every time we took one. I was the only male, assume I took as much but probably more than anyone else, and we went through them all. 15? Maybe 20?
We all did work during that week, just go in the morning cracked out on zero sleep and eat more when we got home to start over, so it wasn’t like a straight 6 day roll, but it was 6 days of no sleep
Over 24 hours. I was on 12 hour nights at the time (Panama schedule, aka 2-2-3/2-2-3), and on days off I would often fuck up my sleeping schedule. I got off work one weekend and went to bed. Every time I started to wake, I'd roll over and tell myself to go back to sleep.
Other than that, 10-12 hours is very common if you have a messed up sleep cycle.
Over 24 hours. Severe food poisoning. Woke up once just be fed.
I was very sick and slept for 17 hours straight. I am a lucid dreamer, and have complicated and realistic dreams regularly. In the dream i had that day, I was gone for 10 months. In it I got a job, made friends, got a small apartment with rooftop access, and learned to paint. I lived day to day, even went to sleep, and had no idea it was all a dream. When I awoke I was still pretty sick, and the adjustment back to real life was hard. Sometimes a part of me wishes I could go back to that dream, it was a good time.
Damn that's a lot to dream!
