I was maybe 21, my boyfriend had landed a really good first job. He was super excited. I decided to surprise him a really nice home made lunches for the week. I scratch cooked a few of his favorite things and showed up right before he left to give it to him and wish him well. Ended up getting into a fight about it. He left me because I was "overbearing". Thankfully hubby doesn't mind me being overbearing. He trusts me to look after him, and is respectful enough to reserve special requests for those moments when I have the time.
