To be honest I don't really care if I only talk to people who speak my language. I fumbled my way through Mexico when I was there a couple years ago. sure I said a bunch of stupid shit but I had Google translate on my phone which helped out a lot. Sure I couldn't talk to Hector who was sitting next to me at the bar who just wanted to shoot the shit about shitty tecate beer but I didn't care much. A lot of times a gringo would come to my rescue if I screwed up at the grocery store and forgot to bring my money and I had to explain to the cashier that I didn't bring enough money into the store. that was pretty embarrassing actually but that only happened once. you hear all the time about people moving to the southeast Asia and they don't speak the languages they just go. How is that any different? They had money, if you move from Nova Scotia to Vancouver Island you're not poor by any means. I'm nowhere as rich as them that's for sure. I would probably stay in the big city. That way I have a better chance of becoming anonymous. I'm not a fan of cities at all but I would have the most resources to figure things out. This won't happen tomorrow by any means probably 5 to 7 years.
