This might sound kind of weird but I got bored of getting drunk. The last major hangover I had was three years ago. That night I spent drinking whiskey with my father while he was telling me stories of his youth. But I haven't gotten drunk since then. I was kind of an alcoholic in my late teens, off and on in my twenties and in my young thirties, late 30s I got drunk twice. In my 40s I didn't really drink much at all except for that one time 3 years ago. I just enjoy not being drunk more than being drunk. Not saying I do anything more exciting sober but I did less exciting things while drunk. So I have no advice to give basically. Just be sober, it feels better than being drunk. I guess that's my advice.
