I may be wrong, but I believe that only applied if they were chasing a felon or a felony suspect.

Doesn't matter, OP is living in fantasy world if he thinks stopping will prevent someone from getting shot. Doesn't matter what point in history.

Remember when police officers were called “peace officers”? And instead of escalating every minor infraction to a violent confrontation, they would instead try to de-escalate the situation and resolve it peacefully?

I guess that ship sailed around the same time that diversity became our strength…

Actually, it's niggers that cause the escalations in most cases. There's this guy that wrote a book about how the nig nogs had their parts of town and the white people their own parts. If a nig nog was caught by white cops, they handed the nig nog over to the black cop for a reprimand.

That’s why I said that ship sailed around the same time that diversity became our strength

How if lil' Timmy stole a $.05 lollipop from the store the officer wouldn't taze the boy and haul him down to jail for 8 hours while the parents were working?

Remember when people would actually stop?

It's a chicken and an egg; society has gone to shit (thanks diversity!) and our police force is going with it.

Stop and I will shoot

Lmao niggers never stopped until goodified

is right about this one. I know that niggers don't stop running now, but back then, when they KNEW for a FACT that they were about to be goodified, they stopped, usually.

I'm not discrediting

I mean it's in their nature to not listen to authority unless extreme deterrents are employed.

Maybe I wasn't clear.

I'm sorry. I wasn't meaning that you were discrediting anyone. I was just throwing my 2 cents worth in there.

I suppose that I am the one who wasn't clear.

I remember watching NYPD blue in the 90's and other cops shows. The cops werent allowed to fire on someone unless they were fired upon first. Guess that ROE went out the window.
