my go to is always carhart bibs and a jean coat with wool flannel inside. i do use a cheap walkmart jacket that has insulation inside and a hood. so many options why waste 450?
i agree with comment down below i'd run multiple jackets. cool damp time of year runn a fishing coat. anything colder then 50 and im running bibs and coat. craftsman makes a super nice hoodie thats insulated inside with wool bits. very think and caN BE made water proof with sprays though wouldnt last long. a good leather coat with tassels is a good water coat. the tassels do a great job wicking away water. go with a nice insulated leather coat. actual thats what i searcxh for on amazon til i find a good deal. got a hoodie at home with wool inside only shit dude all day good for 20's degrees outside with no bibs. though i always run carhart pants and bibs for winter.
