My father has a safe that has a tricky to remember combo. He can't remember the pattern so now about 20k worth of guns are stuck in a glorified paperweight. Can it be converted to a keypad lock or would it be cheaper to just buy that type of safe?

One of my safes has a key pad but if you take it off you can use a key to unlock it as well. It's a pretty cheap one from menards but I like the idea of being able to get in there easily compared to only having the key pad.
