I live in a smaller town (under 20k) and it's 94% white here. Everyone is polite, and I see packs of pre-teens and young teens walking around town on Friday and Saturday nights. Nobody worries about drive-bys, pedophiles abducting children, or illegals raping teen girls in a park. It's sleepy and "boring".
Mostly everyone seems happy. Everyone says hello, people smile in stores and there's a sense of community here.
I live outside of a major metropolis and when I go into the city, EVERYONE looks miserable as fuck. Nobody smiles, everyone has "resting hate face" and people aren't polite at all. They're rude to you, nobody says "please" or "thank you" at all and people in service jobs mutter at you without pronouncing words or having any semblance of professionalism in their candor.
