99.999% of what I learned in regular school was of no use.
My vocational electronics classes, on the other hand, were taught by a guy that had been in electronics almost as long as there had been electronics to be in. Learned a lot there, including the fact that AC goes through a capacitor like piss through a tin horn.
Did the instructor demonstrate with piss and a tin horn?
Nope.
Bummer.
I had an instructor get mad at me and pull me aside to ask me to stop asking questions. Then later they offered me a job at their friends company because they "think I'm a genius".
Dude needed to get checked out for bipolar or something.
