Does anyone know what I'm speaking of? I made a really down thread about how I felt about coming times.

Romans 10, verses 9-10.

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved

Man the paper the science teacher in highschool left laying around said you just had to say the words. It didn't say anything about believing it. Public education is a joke.

99.999% of what I learned in regular school was of no use.

My vocational electronics classes, on the other hand, were taught by a guy that had been in electronics almost as long as there had been electronics to be in. Learned a lot there, including the fact that AC goes through a capacitor like piss through a tin horn.

Did the instructor demonstrate with piss and a tin horn?

you just [have] to say the words

Sadly a lot of "Christians" teach that. Voddie Baucham and Paul Washer have both preached against this practice and mentality recently.

Thank you.

Relevant to this, believing it in your heart is more than making a careless statement. Much the way that professing to love the gym, and actually going are different things. If you say "Jesus is Lord" while ignoring His commandments, you dont believe it in your heart.

If you ignore the teachings of the LORD, you don't really believe his message.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

This one doesn't say how you do it, only that it's gifted to you by the LORD. Romans 10:9-10 is the verse that speaks of how you do it.

There has to be something out there you DON'T know... and I'm gonna find it.

There's a lot of stuff out there I don't know. The names of all the bones in a body, how to rebuild the fuel pump on a 69 Charger, how to remove an appendix with just a razor blade and alcohol, where Epstein is right now for certain because he didn't kill himself, you know.

I don’t remember the thread…but to the point at hand..

To be saved (per the Bible) it’s what you mentioned (to have faith in the Lord Jesus and are honest about it), plus a couple of other items:

  • confessing your sins to Jesus (not a catholic “priest”)

  • forgiving others as you’ve been forgiven (this one can be hard to do from the heart, but you just speak it anyway)

I’m assuming that when you say “have faith in the Lord Jesus and are honest about it”, that includes believing that he died for your sins and then rose again…as well as accepting the free gift of salvation..because those are the other requirements.

confessing your sins to Jesus (not a catholic “priest”)

I understand this. I speak with the Lord often and admit fault and ask for forgiveness.

I’m assuming that when you say “have faith in the Lord Jesus and are honest about it”, that includes believing that he died for your sins and then rose again…as well as accepting the free gift of salvation..because that’s the other requirement.

Yes. All inclusive of faith for me.

Lol , you worship a dead Jew.

I thought he rose from the dead.

Johnny Three Sixteen? “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

... it's pretty much the whole thing.

I would take literally everything Paul ever said at face value. All of his letters are slanted and it says a lot that one of the most revered faithful used to actually persecute these same Christians for a living. That doesn't show the power of forgiveness, it shows the power of naivety.

Bare in mind, demons also believe, and aren't saved. You need to do good works too.

What happens to the people who just do goods acts without believing in jesus?

[–] 0 pt

It depends. If they don't know God, but do good works, they're saved. If they know God, yet act like he doesn't exist, but still do good works, they're saved. However, if those people who act like he doesn't exist go out of their way to get other people not to believe, then they're not.

No. There is only one way. He is God in the flesh, born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was crucified and died for our sins, buried and rose again on the third day, then physically walked and talked to his followers even ate food before physically ascended into heaven to sit in His rightful place next to the Father The Creator. He is Jesus the Christ, the True Messiah.
As he said in his own words as recorded in the book of John 10:1-13

  1. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber....

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

You do not gain access if you are ignorant of who the Messiah is, Jesus the son of Joseph, a carpenter from Nazareth. If you argue otherwise you are not of Christ, and are likely a kike.

Buff is completely anti biblical. I'll write a longer post as a top level comment.

The demons believe that God is one - you have completely missed the gospel of grace.

I didn't say that they didn't.
