I'm pushing half a century soon and i'd like to do some more international travel. i used to rent a car and sleep in the back when i traveled previously, but that can make for some uncomfortable evenings. so for the bucks and does on here who don't want to spend $300 a night on a fine star hotel, let alone even 100, how do hostels work for middle-aged people? is it even a thing?

Because I'm almost 50 and if I'm in a bunk room with a bunch of 20 year olds taking copious amounts of drugs and acting fools I don't want to deal with that. Not saying that would happen but there's more of a likelihood seeing I was 21 once and I could only imagine how they act now.
