I'm pushing half a century soon and i'd like to do some more international travel. i used to rent a car and sleep in the back when i traveled previously, but that can make for some uncomfortable evenings. so for the bucks and does on here who don't want to spend $300 a night on a fine star hotel, let alone even 100, how do hostels work for middle-aged people? is it even a thing?

That's what I've heard in some cases. I had a Chinese friend of mine years ago stay at a hospital somewhere in Brazil and he had to listen to some guy bang this chick for 3 hours right below him in the bunk. That's not exactly what I call a good time for me at least. I don't think I would do any hostile stays or pay for campsites in the US because I got my camper and I like camping for free. I'm mostly considering this for overseas travel. I want to start figuring this out so I can prep a budget to see how long I can go for.
