You don't have to.Now you, on the other hand, we see what you're doing. All the time.

It's automated and tagged by soulless computers.

Dove hunting on a good field is the best!

I've never tried that but I've heard it is hella fun. I guess people eat them? I have always thought of them as flying rats.

Dove is yummy.

If you can get enough for a meal!

Field shotgunning is a great discipline. Two eyes open, instinctive shooting is most enjoyable IMO. It need not be limited to birds, Hares, small antelope and vermin can also be had.

Partridge, woodcock with a regular hunting license, duck, geese and pheasant with special stamps where I live. I haven't been out in a few years but used to go every year when I was younger.

Pheasant are the trophy bird but Partridge are the real prize if you can find them. The best for eating.

There are orders of magnitude more partridge here than pheasant. One must be careful not to shoot spruce grouse, they look similar to partridge but are protected.

I love partridge browned in butter, then covered and simmered in sour cream. Makes for a rich and very flavorful gravy.

I haven't went bird hunting in years. Quail hunting is easily my favorite. I kind of want to take a Sandhill Crane. I heard it .

Is that even legal? I only got 3 quail this weekend but it was a whole bunch of fun!

Is that even legal?

Unfortunately not in Michigan.

Hunted the Texas Gulf Coast decades ago. Leases got ridiculously expensive and scarce.

Leases? As in renting someones property to hunt on?

cant hunt something that doesnt exist

I'd bloody well say yes, mate! I'm always trying to pull the birds.

What birds do you hunt? I like pheasants

[–] 0 pt

All upland game birds. Pheasants are the trophy bird of course!

We didn't grow up doing bird hunts so I'm not setup for it but I love pheasant and do wanna learn to hunt them and teach my boy. Tons of quail here but doesn't seem big deal to locals they prefer elk and mule deer.

That's a good thing!! Less competition for the birds! Quail are fun to hunt too, they come out all crazy and shit.

Quail is good too, sort of like rock cornish game hens. I would hunt them.
